The "Personal Responsibility" Canard

"Personal responsibility" is obviously a red herring designed to abrogate actual responsibility. There's nothing inadequate with the term responsibility. The only reason people modify it by adding "personal" is to abrogate responsibility, since responsibility is inherently social.

This is primarily a tactic used by rightwingers in waging class warfare against the poor; it's another way to blame the victim.

Won't support the Employee Free Choice Act Arlen Specter? All workers would reap the benefits from stronger unions, and it would restore balance and efficiency to our economy, especially for the people doing the work.
