Obama Repeatedly Reminds House GOP Of Their Zero Stimulus Votes

Republicans need to deal honestly with the disaster their ideology produced. Only then can they reform, evolve, and move on. Denial-monger like Limbaugh, Gingrich, Fox, and all the old crowd are just prolonging the agony. Then again, who would want to be a new face for the GOP? They're in a tough situation.

O'Reilly Producer Infiltrates GE Shareholders Meeting

The limbic brain is the animalistic "fight-or-flight" brain mirroring rightwing ideological advocacy of, for example, nationalism, war (attack Iraq in response to irrelevant terrorist act, e.g.), torture, etc. They seem unable to operate on higher, more human levels in terms of problem solving, and actually try to ridicule higher order, more evolved efforts. Garofalo just wasn't in the format to elucidate.

Also, there was a brain study a few years back suggesting conservative-minded brains were capable of less conceptual flexibility.

O'Reilly Producer Infiltrates GE Shareholders Meeting

Did anyone need proof of corporate MSM's link to profits and rightwing politics. Well now it's right there in front of you.

Tea Parties: GOP Once Again Manipulating the Average Joe

Please explain how we're supposed to think there are reasonable intelligent people still promoting conservative ideology. They couldn't grok what the results would be in theory, and now they're in denial about the historically and comprehensively disastrous results in practice. They're arsonists now railing against the firefighters. Explain how these people can even be considered rational.

Tea Parties: GOP Once Again Manipulating the Average Joe

Sorry, Ron Paul's just another rightwing free-market advocate of pure capitalism (except he wants big-gov socialism to defend the rich's interests via military--big surprise people want socialism for themselves and not others). In case you didn't notice, the more free-market policies, the more economic disaster, especially for people who work. Get over it.

Howard Kurtz Shocked By Fox News Tea Party Promotion

Fox promoted the ideology that nearly destroyed America's economy and pretty much everything else it touched, in 8 short years. They continue to promote it. Yet rightwingers think Fox "News"' ratings are more important.

They don't even care how Fox has become so rabid they outed themselves beyond repair as a rightwing network with their shameless promotion of the "tea parties." It will be that much harder to appear rational if the "socialists" are successful in rescuing our economy.

Howard Kurtz Shocked By Fox News Tea Party Promotion

Well said. Fox does a great job keeping belief-based people passionately worked up against their own interests, especially those who have jobs and go to work every day and their families. It's always been disturbing how easy it seems to be for rightwingers to dupe their hapless demo.

Homeland Security Report Warns Of Rising Right-Wing Extremism

The success of all these gasbags indicates a failure of education in America. Logic should be required learning for everyone--it needs to be right up there with math and science, so rightwing ideology will melt away for good.

G.O.P.: R.I.P.

"I do understand the source of pent up anger being the frustration over the Bush administration,"

Don't even try it. The Bush administration implemented rightwing ideology. The right lock-step forced him on us and passionately backed him every step of the way--congress, the executive, the supremes, Limbaugh, Hannity, all the gasbags, Fox News, Heritage Foundation, AEI, Heartland, etc, etc. They're all **still** preaching the exact same ideology that Bush did, who preached the exact same ideology neocons who put him there did.

That ideology when allowed full reign resulted in historical disaster, whether any hatred's involved or not. If it is, it's justified.

Note to Newt: Back Off Harry Knox!

"Right-wing voices like my brother's use faith to manipulate people into voting against their interests by scapegoating the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community."

Well said. It was worth repeating. Christians have been used as voting block pawns only to promote welfare for the rich for far too long.

Christopher Hitchens Debates Kenneth Blackwell About Religious Influence In America (VIDEO)

"gives us the moral foundation that allows free market enterprise"??? Lol!! Hitchens' snicker at that point was priceless. These clowns will make up anything to insert a proclamation of authoritarian economics. Christ and the Bible advocate the opposite of capitalism.

Franken Picks Up 87 Votes; Frustration With Coleman Grows

I'm sure it's that too, but the majority of Franken's career has been spent exposing and documenting, to a wider audience than otherwise possible, the lies and fallacies of Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Bush, and many others. The fact he did it at a time when most people were keeping their mouths shut is practically heroic. I'm sure the right has a great deal of animosity towards the man for that.

Senate Republicans Urge Coleman To Take Election Case To US Supreme Court

Exactly. Democrats know in the end they'll win ideologically, so it's easier for them to concede an election and move on. Republicans know the clock on conservatism (welfare-for-the-rich) is ticking, so they scrape and claw for everything they can get 'til then.

Senate Republicans Urge Coleman To Take Election Case To US Supreme Court

The GOP as we know it should be gone permanently. As long as information flows, there's no reason we should ever again fall for the same old welfare-for-the-rich ("economic freedom and liberty") con game. The party label might survive after a gut-wrenching overhaul of their economic ideology, including several shifts to the left while still differentiating itself in other ways.

White House: House GOP Budget A "Joke"

Lol, it's just like the 90's with Gingrinch and the Contract On America--the GOP whines and moans about government spending, then when it comes down to it, the only place they can make the big cuts ends up being medicare and social security.
