The OP said Wallstreet practiced fundamental capitalism. Although I agree there has been interference in the market in lots of ways, the more free-market policies are implemented (dereg and accelerated tax-cuts-for-the-rich, etc.), the worse things got, and fast.

Too many people are onto the GOP's ideological lies. I really don't know what conservatives can do about that at this point.
