But for anyone still laboring with these concepts, the bottom line is capitalism is merely a welfare program for the rich. It's generally an it-takes-money-to-make-money system whereby those with the most simply purchase more, while others are forced to do more and more of the work to earn an increasingly smaller piece of the pie (all wealth is produced by work--productivity and creativity, not by investment). The parasitic investor classes thus gain while the workers who produce the wealth continually lose. Of course the continual concentration of unearned wealth causes the system to eventually fail. Hopefully enough Americans have realized this in time to rescue our economy and set us on a permanent course of something both sustainable and ethical.

Capitalism is Welfare for the Rich
It's interesting the old capitalism vs. socialism debate has risen to the forefront of popular debate as conservatives emit the hologram of the scary socialism boogeyman in their desperate scramble to distract everyone from the dismal failure of their ideology.
