Well we certainly wouldn't want to limit the "individual liberty and freedoms" of the ultrarich by impeding their free-market capitalist welfare program now would we?
It was just a matter of time; although Bush enacted their every dream, now they're trying to scapegoat him so their ideology can live to rip off working people and their families another day.

Politics Is No Longer Local: It's Viral
"Their mindset is a mindset that emphasizes authoritarian lock-step action, top-down, one-way street communication."
Well said. I can think of very few issues whereby Republicans aren't representing some group's power over others. Of course they market it as otherwise, which is how they get caught in all their illogical positions.

Politics Is No Longer Local: It's Viral
Interesting post. I think to find out what's real, you can usually follow the money; money is the unit of power in this world for the foreseeable future--it's the way the world communicates.

Holiday Retail Sales Plummet Despite Price-Slashing
Christians have been totally tooled by the Republican party. One of the most amazing propaganda feats ever has been the merging of "the Virtue of Selfishness" (free-market capitalism) and Christianity. Very few Christians are around who aren't in denial about what Jesus and disciples actually said and did.

French Mayor Fake Letter Published In New York Times
If one party is dreadfully destructive and lying about it, while another is based on moral intelligence and honesty, is a Newspaper supposed to be "fair and balanced" between the two? Hypothetically speaking, of course. (?)

Schwarzenegger orders hiring freeze, worker cuts
One problem is the tax burden generally is being continually shifted from wealth onto work, according to Republicans' moral code. It's unsustainable (you can't keep doing it forever before things break down--and they are), and has to be reversed.

Internal Memo: RNC Chief Admits GOP Out Of Ideas
"Think about representing the interests of the American people. Not just the rich people. ALL the people."
And quit lying about it and pretending the interests of the rich are the interests of everyone. Be the party of the rich if you want; just be up front about it, and spare us the disastrous b.s. that so many fall for.

HILDA SOLIS: Labor Secretary (VIDEO)
The American workforce needs to be re-introduced to the concept of unionization and organizing to compete better in the market, and to restore balance to our economy which for the last 38 years has fed the wealthy and starved the producers to the point of dysfunctionalism.

"Herbert Hoover Time"
Excellent article. This country needs wide re-introduction to the power of organization and unionization to restore balance and efficiency to our economy--we need a return to valuing work and productivity which made this country a superpower--over simply rewarding mere wealth, which is, as is obvious, unsustainable. The very Japanese companies exploiting labor in the south have strong unions back in Japan, and ceo's credit their unions for their success. Unions have been demonized far too successfully and for far too long. Time for that propaganda to end.

Letter to Sean Hannity of Fox News
Why not just thank Hannity for The Disaster he's spent a career promoting? People like him have no conscience. Rightwingers seem to be missing the capacity to self-reflect and re-evaluate. They carry on blaming Dems, "the left," and liberals as if the last 8 years never happened and their ideology didn't send everything it touched into a tailspin.
